VICE Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy and members of the 18th City Council welcomed this year’s batch of Rotary Youth Officials led by Rotary youth mayor Jerico Ryan Tarucan of Bulua National High School and Myr L. Gironella of Xavier University Junior HS, vice mayor.

Sitting as counterparts of city councilors are Neljames del Rosario (Iponan National High School); Karylle Heart Gamao (Phinma-COC); Nikka Magic Adriano (Lumbia National HS); Hans Oscar Quiño (Merry Child School); Princess Khylaa Racman (Cagayan de Oro National HS);  Michael Christian Balaba (Cagayan de Oro NHS); Jayvie May Cortes (Lapasan NHS); Jersey Guile Arda (Montessori de Oro); Krishia Mae Kaamiño (Pilgrim Christian College); Diana Rose Gamaya (Macabalan National HS); Cyra Cagata (Camaman-an National HS); Dave Chanler Ipulan (Lourdes College); Wyatt Fidel Lapad (Gusa Regional Science HS);  Kyle Robles (Agusan National HS); Aprilyn Illustrisimo (Puerto National HS); Celso Escabusa, Jr. (East Gusa National HS); Marrelle Aubrey Go (Corpus Christi Junior HS) and Kristi Elize Tusoy (Cugman National HS).

Other Rotary youth officials are: Jenealle Micah LLubit (Corpus Christi School), counterpart of the city secretary Arturo de San Miguel; B.J. Shekaimah Sabella (Pagatpat NHS), counterpart of acting city administrator Teodoro Sabugaa, Jr.; Jeniera Auguis (Carmen NHS), counterpart of Thejan Ale Noli of the CSWD; Kristel Kane Calonia (St. Mary’s Academy of Carmen), counterpart of CDRRMC head; Noli Bustamante (Tablon NHS), Oro Youth Development Office and Harold John Payla (Balubal National (HS), Clenro officer counterpart.

During their week-long exposure at city hall, the youth vice mayor and councilors will be attending committee meetings of their counterparts and come up with their own resolutions. They will have their mock session this Friday, Sept. 28, at the City Council Session Hall.

Meanwhile, those who are counterparts of department heads will be involved in the programs and activities of their respective departments.

The Rotary Youth Officials is a joint project of the city government, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro and the Department of Education. (sp)
