Dahino even said the Council is now investigating the matter after she revealed the issue during her privilege speech Monday.

“This is all about the service made by Cebu Pacific, said Dahino adding that passengers fly with Cebu Pacific due to lower fare rate, promotional seat sale and it known as the low cost carrier.

Earlier, Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) imposed penalty to Cebu Pacific in Metro Manila of its flight delays and cancellations. CAB also issue a “stern warning” to the airline as well as an order to submit a “corrective plan” aimed at preventing flight cancellations.

Meanwhile, Vice-Mayor Joaquin Uy ordered the Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry to conduct an immediate investigation. However, during the session the chairman of the committee concern on the issue was reportedly absent.

“We will call the attention of the Cebu Pacific management to answer your query,” he said.

Dahino said she cannot imagine for a passenger agonizing for a 10 hours delay which probably missed opportunities and appointments from not arriving on time.

“I am a Philippine Air Lines (PAL) constant flier but I took their 5J flight anyway and told myself serves me right. But last Friday, one of my family members flew with Cebu Pacific from Cagayan de Oro to Metro Manila. I was informed then that the flight was delayed for 10 hours,” she added.

Accordingly, from all this time the Cebu Pacific Air did not offer any explanation for the delay and inconvenience, she pointed out.
