COTABATO City—Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte has visited cities of Marawi and Cotabato and there conducted symposium on federalism last May 27, 2015.

Mayor Duterte finds that shifting the system of government to federalism could be the best approached to the problems that the country is now facing.

Duterte told to the crowd of students and other sectors in the Cotabato City State Polytechnic College Gymnasium that if the Bangsamoro Basic Law failed to pass in the senate, it would again be  pushed through if the system of government is change to  federal government believing that this is the only way that every Filipino will equally be benefited in the country.

He said this system of government is also believed to reduce corruption in the government.

He claimed that he strongly supports the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) to address the decade Mindanao problem.

Duterte said  he will talk with the President to give conduct pass to the MNLF Chair Nur Misuari so that once and for all everything in the peace agreement will be wrapped up  so that the proposed BBL is immediately push through.

He added that in Davao City, every tribe has its own deputy mayor to settle differences among the residence of a big city in the country.

Davao City is one of the peaceful cities in the Country where most visitors observed.
