NEWLY-DISCOVERED waterfall will soon be developed as another tourist destination in Cagayan de Oro City.

Councilor Jay R. Pascual, chair of City Council committee on tourism, in one of the radio programs on Monday announced that Bolao Falls, located just beside Sinulom Falls, is now on its way to be developed.

Maghimo gihapon mi diha og dako nga swimming pool and then naa pud tay mga cottages,” Pascual reported.

The tourism industry is improving now since the peace and order situation of the city is considered stable after some misconceptions have been corrected as to the implementation of Martial Law in the Mindanao region, he cited.

A few months ago medyo nahadlok ang mga tawo with regards to Martial Law but karon na normalize na diri sa dakbayan because people really know that Cagayan de Oro is a very safe city,” he said.

Pascual likewise gave credit to the city’s white water river rafting, considered as one of the best in the Philippines, as the magnetic force of the city’s tourism industry.

“Kaluoy sa Ginoo, nagpadayon pa gihapon ang atong turismo because we have one of the best whitewater river rafting here in the Philippines.

The councilor expressed hopes that the ongoing discovery and development of more tourist spots in the city will continue as this will give an enormous overall impact on the city’s tourism industry. (SP)
