Iligan City — The lawyer of Mayor Celso Regencia, Leo Zaragoza, has confirmed that the Department of Justice has reversed its earlier ruling on the judicial determination of probable cause on the cases filed against his client.

In a message sent to this paper, Zaragoza said that there is such ruling released by the DOJ and that it had granted “our motion for reconsideration” on the matter.  It also ordered the city prosecutors of Quezon City to take action so that the cases against the mayor will be dismissed by the court handling the cases because of department order.

Another hearing on the cases against Regencia has been scheduled tomorrow, Jan. 17.
