DIGOS City — The Department of Public Works and Highways-Davao del Sur District Engineering Office is set to implement various infrastructure projects this year in the city.

DPWH District Engineer Nicomedes Parilla, Jr., in his formal letter sent to Mayor Joseph Peñas said based on the General Appropriations Act (RA 10964), particularly the local roads, construction/repair/rehabilitation/improvement of various infrastructure including local projects and farm to market road development program of the Department of Agriculture in Digos City includes six vital projects worth P205-million.

The projects include rehabilitation of Digos to Aplaya Road (from two lanes to four lanes) (P100-million); road concreting from Matti to Mahayahay to Balabag Road (P25-million); concreting of road from Tres de Mayo to Tiguman to Igpit Balutakay Road (P20-million); concreting of Maharlika Road to Public Cemetery in Kapatagan, Digos City (P30-million); concreting of Mt. Apo Dos Sumahat Road in Kapatagan, Digos City (P20-million); and concreting of Maharlika to Palo 20 road in Kapatagan, Digos City (P10-million).

Parilla has asked the assistance of the city mayor in securing the roadight-of-way clearance from the affected land owners for the smooth implementation of the projects.
