A DRUG suspect who has been eluding arrest since last year was finally arrested in Barangay Carmen over the weekend.
Jay Tan of J.V. Seriña St., Barangay Carmen is facing illegal drugs charges. His warrant of arrest for the case was served in 2016 but Tan moved out from his house in NHA Barangay Kauswagan to avoid arrest.
Operatives of Police Station 4, Carmen, led by Chief Insp. Ritchie Salva arrested Tan outside an establishment in Barangay Carmen by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Henry B. Damasing of RTC-10 Branch 24 with no bailbond recommended.
Salva said they immediately made the arrest when they spotted Tan in the area.
“Kumpiyansa ra siya kay dugay na baya, nagtuo siya nga nalimtan na iyang kaso,” added Salva.
Authorities suspected that Tan is still engaged in selling illegal drugs until he was arrested since he has no stable job.
Meanwhile, operatives arrested an alleged big-time drug pusher in Singapore Village, Barangay Balulang in a buy-bust operation last Friday. (AL Ricalde)
