Another shabu suspect was shot and killed by members of the police raiding team in a buy-bust operation last Friday at 8 pm.

Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Director Rolando Destura identified the slain as Sherwin Ejeda, 28, residing at Poblacion, Lugait of the said municipality.

Destura claimed Ejeda was a notorious police character involved in hold up-robbery, akyat-bahay activity, drug selling, and carnapping

The victim had just been released from the provincial jail for a robbery charge.

Destura said Ejeda was about to hand over a sachet to a puseur-buyer when he sensed that he was transacting a police operative.

Mao tong gilayog sa suspek ang atong pulis gusto niya ilugon ang pusil. Walay nahimo atong pulis gipusil siya,” Destura said.

Ejeda was rushed to the nearest hospital only to be pronounced dead upon arrival.

Recovered from the Ejada were a sachet of suspected shabu weighing five grams with an estimated street value of P20,000, a buy-bust  money, and a .38 caliber revolver.

Destura said there are still 88 drug personalities in Misamis Oriental in their list.

When asked if he has knowledge on the source of illegal drugs, the police director answered in the negative.

Though, he warned those who are still using and selling illegal drugs to stop their nefarious activities so they would not experience the same fate of the other fatalities.
