BUTUAN City — A suspected shabu pusher was shot dead by joint operatives of Bislig City Police Office and Surigao del Sur Provincial Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Group on Saturday evening at the city’s bay walk.

The other two companions of the slain drug suspect were arrested after authorities seized suspected shabu in their possession with a combined worth of P170,000, drug paraphernalia, and two guns.

Bislig City Police Head of the Investigation Division Chief Insp Epharaim A. Megreño identified the slain drug suspect as Rosalito Zabala Antong, 36, alias Dungay, single, and a resident of Purok 1 Gamaon District, Bislig City.

The buy-bust operation was accompanied by Barangay Chairman Apolinario Alvar of Barangay Poblacion, Bislig City

Bislig City Police Office reported that Antong with two other companions were at the Bislig City Bay Walk Park mixing with the crowds when the buy-bust operation was declared.

Allegedly Antong sensing the one he was dealing was part of the buy-bust pulled out his .45 caliber pistol but it was too late as accompanying operatives shot him.

Seized from his possession were the .45 cal pistol and 0.64 grams of suspected shabu estimated to worth P140,800.00.

The two companions of Antong, one of them a female and the other a minor were arrested at the crime scene also yielded suspected shabu worth P20,000 contained in two plastic sachets

Police identified the two as Kimberly Tinio Magaluna 21, single resident of Purok 4, Barangay Gamaon, Bislig City who had a .35 caliber pistol in her possession. However, no gun was seized from the minor.

The two plastic sachets of suspected shabu was found in the possession of the minor.

The two are now in the custody of Bislig City Police for further investigation while authorities preparing charges to be filed against them anytime this week, the Bislig City Police report reads.
