Ferdinand Canastra, Dasureco membership and services department head said they are expecting thousands of participants to the assembly knowing that Duterte will be coming to speak before them about his advocacies and secrets on how to deal with the problems besetting the country.

“We choose Duterte to be with us during the assembly so that the people will be inspired by his wisdom in good governance and his popularity all over the country wherein hundreds of groups are trying to convince him in running for the highest post this coming election. This is aside from the fact that Duterte was a resident of Digos City when he was a high school student of Holy Cross of Digos,” Canastra said.

Meanwhile, Godofredo Guya, Dasureco’s general manager said member/consumers who are interested to join the cooperative’s annual general membership assembly must secure valid identification cards from Dasureco supported by two government issued IDs for them to avail of the perks and qualify for the raffle where big prizes are at stake.

“We have to ascertain they are bonafide Dasureco members to protect the right of other member/consumers. It is very important that they are among the 120 thousand registered Dasureco member/consumers all over Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental,” Guya said.

“We have addressed this problem since the 2013 power crisis through the installation of the 16-megawatt modular generator sets to supplement any major or minor shortage of power supply from our contracted sources. Except, of course if there are unforeseen event beyond our control,” Guya said.

Dasureco needs 44-megawatt of electricity per day to meet the growing demands from its consumers they will mark their 40th years in public service on May 30 and the festivities began last May 26.
