President Rodrigo Duterte has called upon anew the cooperation of the local chief executives here in his war against corruption, illegal drugs, and terrorism in their respective province and municipalities.
Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano said Duterte summoned all the mayors and governors from Visayas and Mindanao, recently.
He said the meeting took place in Cebu City earlier this week.
“Gipatawag ang mga mayores, governor sa entero Visayas ug Mindanao aron tabangan siya pagbatok sa corruption, illegal nga droga ug terorismo,” said Emano.
The governor added that Duterte assured them that all the local chief executives in attendance will be given “projects” without considering their political affiliations.
In response to Duterte’s call, Emano said he has already established close coordination with the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines to secure the safety of the constistuents of the province.
