“Mostly mga batan-on na nga mga lider ang mag-uban sa Padayon Pilipino and CDP,” Emano said.

Emano said the moves are aimed at strengthening the Padayon Pilipino, the party founded by his later father, former governor and mayor Vicente Emano.

In a Sept. 2 interview, Emano said he was keen on supporting Unabia, erstwhile three-term congressman of the province’s 1st District, if the Gingoog vice mayor decided to seek the gubernatorialpost.

He said Unabia is deserving to become his successor, pointing out that the Gingoog vice mayor served the province as a member of the provincial board before becoming a congressman for nine years.

“It shows nga maayo kaayo ang serbisyo, acceptance sa katawhan kang Congressman Peter Unabia and if he decides to run for governor in 2022, maningkamot gyud ko nga kung naa koy isa ka boto nga madala, maningkamot gyud ko nga akong madala ako gyud itabang diha sa iya,” said Emano.
