Misamis Oriental chief executive said it was impossible for his administration to grab anew the Seal of Good Local Governance for 2017 if not because of the people who offered their time and effort to grab this once-in-a-lifetime achievement.

Pasalamat kita daku uyamot kang [Department of Interior and Local Government – Misamis Oriental] Provincial Director Edward Bhagwani ug sa iyang staff sa ilang pagtabang kanato ug sa atong Modha [Misamis Oriental Department Heads Association] headed by Atty. Joy Lood-Mateo nga naningkamot gayud mahan-ay tanan nato papeles,” Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano said.

Misamis Oriental is along with seven other provinces that received the SGLG. The municipalities of Alubijid, Salay; and the cities of El Salvador, and Gingoog. The SGLG seal, according to the governor, is built-in with P7 million cash prize to be used in the implementation of several programs and projects of the provincial government.

“Once this amount is released, we are set to rehabilitate the old Hall of Justice and make it as pasalubong center and at the same time tourism center. But I am still tempted to put up a pasalubong and tourism center within the Capitol compound to constantly remind our employees to continue working and serve our people. But we will think of it once the money is already in our treasury,” Emano said. (pio misor)
