Fisherman found dead

A 46-YEAR-OLD fisherman was found dead along the shoreline of Barangay Jampason, Jasaan town, Misamis Oriental, Wednesday afternoon.

Capt. Dennis Absolo, Jasaan police chief, identified the dead man as Joselito Mosqueti of Jasaan.

Mosqueti’s body was discovered near his house by his son.

The fisherman’s wife Gemma said she suspected her husband died as a result of his hypertension.

“Nag undang man gud to siyag inum sa iyang maintenance (medicines). Mao siguro tong mitukar kamulong panginhas og mga shell para unta sa among panihapon,” she told investigators.

His son tried to revive his father but to no avail. The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at a community hospital.

Police said they found no signs of foul play. (Joey Nacalaban)
