ILIGAN City–The city will be observing four more holidays before this month is over.

On Wednesday, Sept. 20, the city will observe the “Pagpakanaug,” a procession around the city of the statue of St. Michael.

The next day has been declared by Malacanang as a regular holiday — the commemoration of the declaration of martial law. Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said the holiday would also allow “progressives to air their views on the declaration of martial law.”

Mayor Celso Regencia has declared Sept. 27 a holiday for students while Sept. 29, the Feast of St. Michael has also been declared a regular holiday. (nora soriño)
