Gingoog City councilor Marlon Kho said he is willing to submit himself to a drug test if only to set an example to other elected officials of the city.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod here, presided by Vice Mayor Ruth de Lara Guingona, approved the resolution for a random drug test for all ellective official of the city including the city mayor. Kho, was the author of the resolution, said he is willing to submit to a drug test conducted by the Philipine Drug Enforcement Agency or even the local police or any other agency.
“Ang maong resolusyon pag hangyo usab sa mga ahensiya hingtungdan sa pag drug test,” said Kho.
He added the resolution also effectively waives the elected officials right against mandatory random drug test.
“Available ko anytime for a drug test,” he said.
