It was an awesome night at the Limketkai Center from start to finish with an energetic kick-off performance by Donita Nose and Super Tekla with their opening number “One Night Only” during the 2nd leg of “The Sweethear and The Balladeer: Fun Night Only” – rocking the Atrium.
The opening act lead by the comedic duo was definitely a great opener for the evening. Laughter and good vibes resonated the atrium as they worked around anothers punch lines as they set the mood for an energetic duet performance by Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista and Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose performing an ensamble from various foreign artists from different genres.
With a little welcoming remarks by both talented singers, the duet was then followed by a powerful and heartfelt solo performance by Julie Anne San Jose, Christian Baustista, and Kyline Alcantara.
The comic duo returned to the stage for their 2nd stint with another song number performed by Donita Nose accompanied by Super Tekla, that brought the house down the second time around with their bilingual act and quirky punchlines that left Kagay-anons laughing and clapping during their short skit.
Capping the night with awesome music and laughter with finaly a mashup finally songs; Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Crazy Little Thing Called and We Are the Champions, as well as timeless OPM songs, El bimbo, Pare Ko, and Magasin bidding farewell to Cagayan de Oro.
It was definitely something to look forward to in the future.
