In an interview, Goking claimed that most of the needs of the senior citizens belonging to Cafesca were not attended by the local officials especially those handling the City Social Welfare and Development office.

He said complaints coming from Cafesca members whom he is also the city president in the local and regional association level said that some complaints were still unattended by a senior citizen local organization manned by CDO-CSWD.

Amo man ang kuwarta pagtukod sa senior citizen building og ang yuta is owned by the city government pero klaro kaayo sa Memorandum of Agreement that all concerns raised by the senior citizen should be attended (to),” he said.

He said even those who manned the city government run senior citizen office at Barangay 40 wanted Cafesca members to vacate their previous office.

Goking said the center funded under their organization is currently being run by the city government’s organized senior citizen association which who claimed as the legal organization that could man and operate the center.

Na kinsa man karon ang legal nga kami man karon ang gitahud sa CSWD central office in Metro Manila as the recognized and given authority senior citizen group that will operate and manage the center,” he explained.

He said he was informed on June 20 that he was elected as the NFSCAP national president that would man and implement the program for the senior citizen where funded by the DSWD central office.

“Neutral unta ang city officials. Kay ang ilang budget this year ila mang gihatag ngadto sa laing senior citizen organization unya naa pa’y pakapin nga istorya nga kung dili pa daw ako edaran dugay raka namo gibirahan,” he lamented.

Goking plans for the federation to fix the problem that is long overdue, social pension, as he has been fighting for change in the program for years.
