MY high school classmate from 1969 to 1973, current agriculture expert Felipe Gabriel, has launched an attack against the greening project known, then and now, as the “Green Revolution.” Here was what he wrote: “Green Revolution is slowly killing our living Mother Nature that provides everything we need!
“Food, water, lumber, cement, name it (and Mother Nature gives it)! However, agro-chemicals contaminate every facet of our environment, especially the sources of our dear food! It was five decades now since the introduction of this greening program, and I call it now a monkey business!
“Why is this government is so silent and is ignoring and even neglecting our severely damaged ecology! Ecological collapse will ruin us all! Ito ay paglabag sa RA 10068, otherwise known as Organic Agriculture Act of 2010!”
Global warming and climate change are environmental aberrations that were promised by the Bible (in its Deuteronomy 28:15, 22-23 and Matthew 7:24-27) to occur, if and when people will no longer listen to God and will no longer obey His commands.
The Bible says death and destruction will come in the wake of these natural calamities, exactly as they are occurring in almost every part of the globe right now. And there is no escape from these tragedies, unless we realize soon enough that, since it is our refusal to listen to God and to obey Him which cause these mishaps, the only way to remedy them is to listen to and obey God once again.
It is of urgent importance, therefore, for all who wish to see an end to the death and destruction from rains, floods and earthquakes to try the Biblical solution, even for only the next 30 days: read the Bible, meditate on it day and night, and obey everything that is written in it, as Joshua 1:8 prescribes for all of us. The more of us reading the Bible, the better!

A reminder: “Prayer is the answer to every problem in life. It puts us in tune with Divine Wisdom, which knows how to adjust everything perfectly. So often, we do not pray in certain situations because from our standpoint, the outlook is hopeless.
“But nothing is impossible with God. Nothing is so entangled it cannot be remedied. No human relationship is too strained to bring about reconciliation and understanding. No habit so deepooted that it cannot be overcome. No one is so weak that he cannot be strong.
“No one is so ill that he cannot be healed. No mind is so dull that it cannot be made brilliant. Whatever we need if trust God, He will supply it. If anything is causing worry and anxiety, let us stop rehearsing the difficulty and trust God for love, healing and power.”
