Cpl. Ferdinand Caños of the Carmen police precinct, identified the victim as 42-year-old Arestheo Agbo of Balongis, Balulang.

Agbo worked as a guard at Peak Towers in Alae, Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon.

Caños, incidentally the victim’s first cousin, said investigators were still facing a blank wall as to the motive and identity of the suspect or suspects.

Caños said Agbo was driving his motorcyle when he was attacked.

Agbo succumbed to a lone but fatal gunshot wound in the left neck.

Police found an old NBI identification card indicating that he was an NBI “asset.”

The card bears the signature of former NBI regional director Angelito Magno.

Magno has confirmed that Agbo served as an NBI informer.

Caños said his cousin was not involved in any illegal activity. Agbo is survived by his three children, and wife who works abroad.
