Hypocrites on ‘Revgov’

HYPOCRITES! This is what I call those who are loudly opposing the putting up of a revolutionary government in the Philippines today. This is because these people are known conspirators in earlier power grabs against legitimately installed presidents and governments in the country.

Yes, these noisy patriot-pretenders have no right questioning the desire of a greater number of Filipinos to establish a revolutionary government at this point, because they themselves are tainted with the dark spirits of rebellion and diabolical disobedience to lawful authorities and institutions.

Indeed, these hypocrites should not be questioning a revolutionary government in the country. They were the ones who did this first. So, why should they now fight the establishment of a similar revolutionary government by other civic-minded Filipinos? Is there danger if other Filipinos will be the ones to put up a revolutionary government? Or, are they saying they are the only ones who have a right to engage in a revolution?

These hypocrites say there is a great difference between the situations obtaining at this time, during the presidency of President Duterte, and in 1986, during the time of one Corazon Aquino, relative to the installation of a revolutionary government. Oh my! I say, these people should be ashamed of themselves. Indeed, the question is, is there really any difference here?

Both of them–Duterte and Aquino–are presidents, although one was elected by some 16 million Filipinos, and the other was installed by virtue of the meddling of the United States which acted in cahoots with their Filipino puppets or lapdogs. And, concededly, the country is facing the same debilitating situations under the two presidencies.

During the time of Corazon Aquino, her allies claimed then, to justify her declaration of a revolutionary government, that the systems in place then were no longer effective for them. With Duterte, everybody agrees that the same institutions are similarly incapacitated now, on account of the previous presidents’ virtual permission for the proliferation of drugs, criminality, smuggling, and foreign domination of our culture, economy, and government.

We should not forget that the highest level of power in the Philippines is lodged in the hands of the people themselves. If the people would themselves decide to put up a revolutionary government, that cannot be considered by anyone as illegal or violative of the Constitution or other existing laws.

That would in effect be a decision pursuant to the Constitution, which says that all government authority emanate from the people. On the other hand, as the legitimate representative of the citizenry, the President has the right to act to solve the deadly and destructive problems it is facing with right now, all of which were merely passed on to him by his predecessors in the presidency.

The president’s “contract” with the people, as it were, requires him to uplift the country and its citizens. If the president can no longer do this because the systems in place have become useless and ineffective since they are the by-product of a useless and ineffective Constitution that Corazon Aquino espoused, the sitting president has the right to put up a system that would be responsive to the needs of Filipinos, and this includes a revolutionary government.
