Iligan City — The Feast of the Black Nazarene will also be observed here although devotees usually are silent about it and even the church heirarchy here.

Msgr. Rey Pati-an of the St. Michael Cathedral here said the mass for the Feast of the Black Nazarene began last Dec. 31.

Today, the mass will be at 4:45 in the morning, followed by the “Traslacion” at 6:00 am immediately after the mass.

Police officers will be around during the church activities although he did not say how many.  It will go through major city streets for the duration of the morning.

Big”Traslacion” pictures together with the schedules are placed in the walls outside the St. Michael Cathedral to serve as reminders of the activities.
