Iligan City — The police here has warned the public about the proliferation of investment scams which have victimized many people already.
Major Jovanie Cabusas, city police spokesperson, yesterday said that at this time, “this has not reached this city yet” but has now engulfed Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon and other areas in Mindanao.
He said that if any of their police officers are caught engaging in these “investments” they will be dealt with accordingly.
The Securities and Exchange Commission identified examples of investment companies that are soliciting investment through social media: MGA Business Enterprises, Coophub Multimedia Services, Jogle Innovative Marketing, Global Dream Zion, Grappler, Sherpan and 22 others.
