The completion of a sundown clinic, construction of concrete and covered pathway and construction of a new TB-DOTS facility at Hayes Street will soon be implemented.
This, after the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 13743-2019, authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Health – Center for Health Development – Northern Mindanao for the purpose.
The memorandum covers the implementation of the infrastructure projects through the Health Facility Enhancement Program 2019 in upgrading of health facilities.
The DOH allotted P5 million for the said projects.
Under the memorandum, the DOH shall provide technical assistance in the preparation of Detailed Architecture and Engineering Designs, program of works and detailed estimates; organize coordination meeting with the city to determine and to finalize project proposals; issues permit to construct for all CHO facilities; among others.
The legislation was endorsed by the committees on health and health insurance and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes Gaane and Ian Mark Nacaya. (sp)
