Pascual, who led a task force of investigators, said specific recommendations were sent to Mayor Oscar Moreno.

Pascual said investigators noted that there was a pool for people with disabilities situated right next to the olympic-size pool that exposes children to dangers. He said there was no visible obstacle that separates the poolsm and the task force recommended that a barrier be put in place.

Pascual said the task force also recommended more highly qualified lifeguards  certified by  City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council.

He said the group also said the resort’s closed-circuit television camera system need to be upgraded. The present one, he said, has a relatively low capacity memory bank.

Pascual said another recommendation is to upgrade railings in some areas and to put in place more signages.

He said there was also a need for city hall to ensure an ambulance in the resort at all times.
