That feeling that you can’t explain – there’s joy, happiness, fulfillment, and all those positive adjectives combined together, how was it and why was that. Questions and feelings that will succumb your mind when you know that ones in your life, you had helped someone, by giving back your blessings to the community who needs it the most.

Living by these virtues, the JCI Kagayhaan Gold traveled from Cagayan de Oro City all the way to Mapua, Binuangan, Misamis Oriental. A barangay that is 7 kilometers away from the Binuangan town proper. This is to pursue their outreach program to the students of Mapua and Cabanglasan, Binuangan, Misamis Oriental.

Community service is a passion. It takes a heart that is full of courage to encounter whatever circumstances along the way. And upon knowing the JCI – Kagayhaan Gold members , it was proven to me that good Samaritans still do exist, willing to sacrifice their time , effort and money just to live their passion of giving back to the community where help that is left in the deaf ear of the government.

Over 300 students from, Mapua, Balingoan Misamis Oriental received their new bags, including the 80 students of Cabanglasan Elementary School last June 1, 2015. I saw how happy the kids were the moment they received each bag. Their eyes wanted to say that “Oh, at last, I have a new bag!  ”, since being a kid, small things are great to them.

Students from Mapua, Baligoan, Misamis Oriental together with the member of JCI - Kagayhaan Gold shared smiles and a photo-op celebrating the success of the event.
