Some of the primary landmarks in the city are malls filled with franchise restaurants, fast-food chains, and fine dining cafes. As the working class goes about their busy schedule, nothing beats “fast food” and the bang for the peso prices that they offer.

However, it does get a little monotonous and our taste buds crave for something else every now and then Wing It: Flavored Wings located at the 3F of Centrio Mall. This corner haven produces delightfully tasty chicken wings offering 3 flavors in Italian Garlic Parmesan, NYC Wild Buffalo, and Texas Hickory BBQ, the food stall spares no expense on giving you fresh, quality, and the tastiest sauces and chicken you can bite into. With a variety of orders that can fit your budget, you can start off with 99 pesos with 4 pcs of chicken and a single serving of rice to the staggering 12 pcs for only 199 pesos. And if you’re feeling at the middle, you can opt for the 129 pesos with 6 pieces.

With the 3 flavors, I personally look forward to consuming the Garlic Parmesan. Why? As a neophyte food writer, it may be hard for me to put into words. But the fine taste of the sauce applied unto the crisp, warm, and golden brown chicken instantly melts in your mouth which makes you take off your gloves and literally eat it with your bare hands. IT IS THAT GOOD. The meals are a great take away when seeing a movie. Popcorn is nice, but it does get boring from time to time.

The 99 pesos meal can come with either a serving of white rice or fries. Fries, however, is a better choice when you want to bring it to the cinema (unless you want to go white rice all the way!). The BBQ and Wild Buffalo are quite unique as well, coming from an eating spree around the city. There is a distinct taste only wing it has created for its customers. Wings are something enjoyed with a dip, and wing it offers the Garlic Aoili Dip for 20 pesos. Mind you, it adds a different punch to whatever flavor you may be getting for starters. With ingredients brought in from other countries, the quality of taste for each meal is top notch.

After a long day of hustle, I often find myself in Centrio and craving for something tasty yet fast to be served and directly off the fryer (not the ones hanging around in a display box or a queue). Wing it is that choice, my friends! And believe me when I say this, give it a try and your stomach will thank you later.

Alright, settle down people. I may have transitioned from the travel life to the scurrying around and photographing food in the local scene, but its for good reason. The support for local shops isn’t quite there yet. We as the people of our city may know this dime a dozen places but how about the people visiting or passing through? I think it’s about time that in some way these places and their food be exposed to a wider audience.

Creating food photographs of sumptuous meals is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing to those who really love to eat, and a curse to those with food allergies. Personally, seafood is my all-time adversary. And so, this marks another chapter in my photography life, a season of photographing food and writing down my thoughts from preparation, presentation, and to the partaking. Without further adieu, Lets wing it.
