Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap-Northern Mindanao Region (Kadamay-NMR) slammed the Armed Forces of the Philippines anew claiming the latter has been behind the malicious red-tagging of Neri Colmenares, president of partylist Bayan Muna and an independent senatorial candidate in the coming May polls.

Francisco Pagayaman, Kadamay-NMR spokesman said that last Wednesday evening their regional headquarters in Barangay Camaman-an was pelted with flyers with the message: “Mga igso-on, atong kondinahon ang 50 ka tuig nga away nga walay hunong, pagpamatay, pagpangsunog, pag pangharas sa mga berdugong teroristang NPA.”

Pagayaman suspects government soldier to be behind the red-tagging.

Kon dili man sundalo ang nagsabwag, dunay ilang mga sinugo,” Pagayaman alleged.

He added that they fear for their safety since red-tagging usually ends up with enforced disappearance, abduction, or worse execution.

Delikado man gud nang red-tagging kay moresulta man gud na sa extra judicial killing,” Pagayaman said.

He said the flyers violated the Fair Elections Act.

For his part, 4th Infantry Division spokesman Capt. Reggi Go denied the allegations.

Una-unang, wala pa nako mabasa ang  maong mga flyers malisod paghatag sa reaction pero kon AFP ang ilang gidudahan, wala mi labot a-na,” Go said.

However, Go added that they were not surprised that they were suspected to be behind the flyers.

Basta na-ay ingon ana nga hitabo, kami dayon ang ilang dudahan. Wala na mi matingala ana, basta ang importante, nga wala mi magsabwag og mga flyers,” said Go.
