The Kagayan Weekender’s Bazaar (KWB) officially launches today with eighty local brands in attendance from all over Mindanao at the Activity Center, Centrio Mall Cagayan de Oro City spearheaded by Paola Ching and Angela Pescador.
The said event aims to promote local entrepreneurs who have yet to have their own shop and are online-based by providing a 3-day venue for their handy-crafts and other items.
“There are about 80 local brands from all over Mindanao, Retail, RTW, food. Most are online brands, youth entrepreneurs, students, those who have no shops yet. They are the ones who are most interested to join our bazaars since, they can have a feel of how to treat customers, handle and manage their areas, pricing, etc.,” said Paola Ching, KWB head organizer.
This year’s theme is “Wonderland” inspired by Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. She explains “Every bazaar we have different themes. This month of October, we think wonderland is suited because. When we want you to visit our bazaar, we want you to experience your childhood with us. There’s free popcorn, free cotton candy, free ice cream, magic shows, balloon shows, puppet shows, and the likes,”
She added: “We want you to enjoy yourself aside from shopping and enjoying the program. Going to the bazaar feels like there is an adventure waiting to happen and lots of new things in store.”
Today’s launching will offer free ice cream by Gag Fab Shop, popcorn from KWB among others and beats by DJ Aly; meanwhile on the 5th will be the Coronation of the 1st ever Queen of Kagayan Weekender’s Bazaar they would also, offer free milk tea/drinks and ice cream from its sponsors; and on its last day October 6 a free Magic show by Reuben Lardizabal, Balloon and Puppet show, photo booth, ice cream by Weewan shop, and KWB Gingerbread Village.
Aside from the above activities and freebies, KWB would also be giving away prizes from its merchant sponsors and Double Luck Events Goodies.
KWB also announced that it would also have two more bazaars in time for Christmas this coming December 4 to 11 and again on 16and 22. From 4 to 11 at the activity center, Centrio Mall which will feature “KWB’s Santa’s Workshop” and on the 16 KWB will be located near the H&M’s store, CM Recto entrance.
