Iligan City — Kaliwat Bol-anon sa Iligan” (Kabolig) will meet on Sept. 21 morning, here.
Madel Alemania, Kabolig president, said yesterday that it would be a fun meeting with these people who trace their roots from Bohol. There would be games.
She added that they would discuss “serious” matters also.
“Bol-anons” she said are all over the country and in this city alone where are are 44 barangays, each barangays has Bol-anons there. Many Bol-anons, she said are “well off” though there are many who are poor but not to the point of being dirt poor.
The Alemanias to note, are also of Bol-anon descent. The couple, Marianito and Madel came over to this city, and established their business here in this city, which capital they borrowed from the proceeds of one parent who retired as a public school teacher.
The Plaza Alemania which the couple owns is one of the better hotels in the city.
