KORONADAL CITY— Elements of the Koronadal City police and City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) scored anew as two suspected illegal drug peddlers were collared Saturday, police said Monday.

Led by Chief Inspector Rey Egos, Kidapawan City intelligence chief and Dr. Glorio Sandig, CADAC action officer, the raiding team swooped down on a house in Purok Poticar, Barangay General Paulino Santos, Koronadal City.

In his report to Koronadal City PNP director Supt. Nestor Salcedo, PCI Egos identified the suspects as IglecerioPelaezDorero Jr., 33 and RodelGuiang Naval, 30, both residents of Barangay GP Santos.

Several sachets of suspected shabu, described by police as “large, big, medium and small sachets,” Pone thousand cash money used as marked money and other shabu paraphernalia.

Police also recovered from the two a cal. 38 revolver. Both are now detained at Koronadal City lock up cell while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared against the suspects.

The arrest of two suspects rose to 18 the number of persons arrested here in connection with illegal drug trade.

Supt. Salcedo said Koronadal City has become trans-shipment point of prohibited substance from Maguindanao being transported to Gen. Santos City. (pna)
