DOLE, meanwhile, conducted a Basic Employment Services and Workplace Productivity to 29 staff of the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) and the Tourism Office of the local government unit of Oroquieta City where the participants were taught on the prompt, timely, and efficient delivery of employment service and the provision of information on other DOLE employment and self-employment programs. The PESO core functions were highlighted such as job search assistance and placement services, labor market information services, administration of labor market programs and regulatory services.

The PESO is the employment arm of the DOLE in the LGU, bringing employment facilitation closer to the people, thereby improving their economic situations in life. (DOLE-X Mis. Occ. PFO)
