She is a simple housewife, mother of two wonderful children and a multi-awarded make-up artist  – hailing from the “The Island Born of Fire,” Camiguin she is none other than Len-len Anaya.

Anaya has been a weddings and events professional makeup artist for more than 8 years, a former instructor of the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, where she also completed her fashion makeup course. She was awarded as Makeup Artist of the year 2016 by Urban Life – Mindanao Gold Star Daily, and was featured as one of the makeup artist in Marchè Wedding Philippines Finds the same year.

“What I consider to be my biggest professional achievement is the trust, respect and changing people’s lives through makeup,” she said.

Regardless of her achievements in the industry she still finds time to be a hands-on mom and a wife.

“Some of my work was locally and Internationally featured in Bride and Breakfast, Ilustrado Dubai, Promo Magazine, Vogue, M Magazine International – Every time I don’t have clients I always see to it to spend quality time with my family,” Anaya shared.

Adding that: “Being with my love ones replenishes my entire energy. Being a mother and a career woman as a makeup artist requires great talent to balance everything. When at work I always give my 100% effort to each and every client I had.”

Seeing the precious reactions and appreciations by her clients gives her enough courage, strength and motivation to continue what she is doing and discovering ways to improve her talent.

Like a double-edge sword, Anaya acknowledges that her greatest strength is also her weakness, and that is her family.

“My strength is also my weakness and that is my family,” she said.

CDO has been a breeding ground of talented make-up artists, every year new talents emerge. But what keeps her relevant and unique?

“For me, with regards to the talent as a makeup artist we are all the same. But, the trust, respect and self-fulfillment of my client and vice versa are what I hold most. – Inspiring other makeup artist to do well, not just for the industry but for self-improvement and accomplishment,” she said.

She shares that in five years from now, she visualizes herself back in educating aspiring makeup artists.

“What I like most in my career is that I got to go to other places, meet different celebrities and personalities. – It gives me the opportunity to help other people in changing their perspective in life, boost its confidence and standout in the crowd with my talent as a makeup artist. – It’s not just makeup; it’s all about touching people’s lives,” Len-len Anaya.
