LINKED 2019: Computer and Gadgets Expo

The biggest computer and gadget expo in Northern Mindanao LINKED 2019 ended with a bang with lots of activity and surprises during its last day at the Limketkai event center.

The three-day event that began in February 22 and ended on the 24th with an awarding ceremony was spearheaded by Adtech: Computer Sales and Services’ Rex Atienza Jr. and Anne Dizon, and RELIC (RIG Enthusiasts’ League of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro) in cooperation with Limketkai Mall, AMD Ryzen | Radeon, RAKK, Bosston, Dareu, MSI, Team Group, DOSS, Aorus Gigabyte, and Palit – and was joined by toys, computer and gadget enthusiast and aficionados from different parts of Mindanao as well as this city’s Cosplayers.

This year’s event showcased the best and newest computer hardware and gadgets under one roof; a RIG Show, Toy Display courtesy of CDO Toy  Zone, Game Tournaments such as Tekken 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ, CSGo, Dota 2, NBA2k19, Cosplay, and a game demo “Jump Force” provided by AMD were the highlights during the entire event.

CS:GO CHAMPION: Stephen Alcordo, Charles Dingal, Gonzalo Cagadas, Ritter Mendoza, and Iman Mora.

Winners in this year’s LINKED 2019; Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Champion Team Stephen Composed of Charles Dingal, Gonzalo Cagadas, Ritter Mendoza, and Iman Mora brought home the crown in an intense battle against 2nd placer’s Team Vincent composed of Vincent Alcordo, Francis Albulario, Billjan Tagapulot, Paul Acido and Mark Llusala.

DOTA 2 CHAMPION. Vincent Alcordo and Kent Baguio (Host) with Team Erik composed of Erik Johann Limpiado Riconalla, Mark Arthur Llusala, Jipoy Chan, John Diaz, and JB Leonardo.

Meanwhile in Dota 2 Team Erik composed of Erik Johann Limpiado Riconalla, Mark Llusala, Jipoy Chan, John Diaz, and JB Leonardo brought down its rival in an epic match against Team John’s John Arthur Madrona, Vincent Alcordo, Francis Albulario, Iman Mora, and Charles Dingal.

FGC CDO. Dragon Ball FighterZ and Tekken 7 Winners: Reece Justine B. Siasat and Jason Patric M. Habunal 7th place, Raymond Jay Sarte and Renzo Tello E. Acosta 5th place, 4th placer Ben-Errol L. Aspera Jr., 3rd Juan Carlo N. Ang, and 2nd Dominique V. Pantinople, and Champion Neil Kenneth Uy Tan. Dragon Ball FighterZ winners Champion Rebuan V. Saripada Jr., john Jerson C. Po 2nd, and Ben-Errol L. Aspera Jr. 3rd.

PC games we’re not the only one getting some action, as video game console gamers officiated by Fighting Game Community CDO (FGC CDO) headed by Carlo Ang also took part in this event with a Tekken 7 and Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament.

Winners in the Tekken 7 category were Reece Justine B. Siasat and Jason Patric M. Habunal both came in 7th place, Raymond Jay Sarte and Renzo Tello E. Acosta tied in 5th place, coming in 4th was Ben-Errol L. Aspera Jr., 3rd Juan Carlo N. Ang, and 2nd Dominique V. Pantinople, and bagging the top spot was Neil Kenneth Uy Tan. Meanwhile in Dragon Ball FighterZ bagging the championship spot was Rebuan V. Saripada Jr., followed by john Jerson C. Po, and Ben-Errol L. Aspera Jr. respectively.

EXPO KING. Erik Johann Limpiado Riconalla

Lastly, taking home this year’s most coveted prize; the title of “LINKED Expo King” went to Team Erik’s captain Erik Johann Limpiado Riconalla, he also won the Basic Category Champion. LINKED 2019 definitely was an exciting place to be for everyone, giving us a hint of what is to come in next year’s installment.
