LUGAIT, Misamis Oriental — In a simple ceremony, this municipality inaugurated, its new P43-million town hall on Thursday.

Mayor Zosimo Perez who led the activity said this project is one of the continuing changes that his administration is doing for the good of the town and its people.

“Let us be consistent on this,” he said.

According to the Municipal Development Office, the project was funded by a loan with the Development Bank of the Philippines, payable in 10 years.

“We will improve the Public Market next,” Perez announced.

The new two-storey municipal hall is literally transparent that all employees working inside the different offices can be seen through the lightly shaded glass windows.

The municipality gained awards from the Department of Interior and Local Government, Seal of Good Housekeeping in 2012 and Seal of Good Governance in 2015.

The municipality has grown from 6th Class 50 years ago to 2nd Class today, it was gathered.

Present during the inauguration rites were Provincial Board Members Dexter Yasay and Nancy Madjos who both expressed their appreciation for the laudable performance of the the municipality under the leadership of the mayor. (Frank E. Dosdos, Jr)
