Limketkai Luxe Hotel earlier this month launched its Tree ofHope event in the hopes of helping underprivileged children in Cagayan de Oroand other parts of Misamis Oriental.

The said event is an annual fundaising project of Limketkai Luxe Hotel spear headed by its General Manager Jerome De La Fuente where in various companies, local officials, and other well-off families and personalities share their blessings this year to other buy purchasing Christmas Balls for P300 each.

City Mayor Oscar Moreno’s Christmas Tree

Each ball will then be tag with the name of the buyer and hung on the Christmas trees and serve as proof that the person who bought it has joined the project. The hotel did not spare any expense as it imported a fresh pine tree serving as their Christmas tree from the United States and a Gingerbread House that is visible near the Kave Restaurant.

The Limketkai Luxe Hotel also has it fresh pine tree flew in from the United States for their Christmas tree and a Gingerbread House set which comprised of 200 items., The Christmas trees and the gingerbread house could be seen in the hotel lobby.

Same as last year, Balay Canossa a foundation that takes care of underprivileged children here in Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental would be its beneficiary.

With his opening remarks Luxe Hotel General Manager Jerome De La Fuente shared his thoughts and ambition for this project to live on and hopes it would become a tradition in the said hotel.

Gingerbread House

 “I always love to do projects for the kids because sometimes they are neglected, they are our future, and they are the hope of the future. Usually any activities here in the lobby are usually for a charitable cause for the underprivileged children or street kids of Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental,” De La Fuente said.

There were nine trees displayed in the hotel’s lobby belonging to the following City Hall, Manolo Fortich, Irene Floro and Family, John & Mags Cue and Family, Mindanao Development Authority, Rosita Lim, and Esmerna Uyguanco Gabutina and Ivan Joseph Uyguangco Gabutina, Cagayan de Oro Mayor Oscar Moreno, and Misamis Oriental Governor Governor Yevgeny Emano.

 “This is basically a tradition that we’d like to continue. We want to showcase the prosperity of the city in the hope that things will change. No matter what happens in the country, Cagayan de Oro City will be very good,” De la Fuente concluded.

Tree of Hope will run from the whole month of December until January 4. The Christmas balls will still be available until then so bring your family and friends and purchase yours today and bring hope this Christmas to the unprivileged children of Misamis Oriental.
