PO2 Fredierick Caamiño identified the victim as Joel Etiong Faro, 45, of Sitio Taguanao in Barangay Indahag.

Faro, incidentally, was a younger brother of SPO4 Romeo Faro who is assigned in Camp Alagar.

No one knew about the accident until Flor Calapuan, a resident of Calacapan, Macasandig, found the body of the younger Faro and his damaged motorcycle while she was out to collect food for her pigs at around 6:30 am.

Investigators said the accident apparently took place at a secluded area at around 4 am.

Caaniño said pieces of evidence showed that Faro crashed his maroon Susuki motorcycle with license plates 9050-KS into a billboard at the intersection of Buena Oro and Taguanao  road.

He said the victim’s face was disfigured apparently after he slammed against the billboard. The victim also broke his back.

Caamiño said Faro, who apparently has had a drink too many, was on his way home to Taguanao from the Macasandig proper when he met the accident.
