It was learned that LdCU considers the city hospital as one of its affiliate and stakeholders. It also considers that the hospital facility and staff can deliver the quality of training for the Medtech interns.

Under the agreement, LdCU shall ensure that its interns shall perform or render services to the clients and/or patients of the hospital with reasonable care and skill, including observing pleasing personality when attending to or dealing with them and the city or its representatives.

LdCU shall also assume responsibility for the care and custody of the interns in case of loss, damages, infections, illness, injuries and/or death at the course of affiliation or internship.

For its part, the city shall enforce rules and regulations, through the coordination with the school, regarding the admission, supervision, training and the regulation of interns who fail to comply with any of the regulation of the city and the hospital by committing acts detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the clients, patients and hospital personnel, among others.

The agreement was endorsed by the committees on health and laws and rules chaired by Councilors Maria Lourdes Gaane and Ian Mark Nacaya, respectively. (sp)
