CITY police director Senior Supt. Graciano Mijares Jr. on Monday reshuffled 21 officials in the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo).

The order, signed Sept. 11 and implemented on Monday, affected 21 police officials––four chief inspectors, seven senior inspector, and 10 inspectors.

As a result, the five of the city’s police precincts have new commanders. These are the police precincts in Divisoria, Cogon, Agora in Lapasan, Carmen and Puerto.

Offices in the Cocpo were also affected by the reshuffling.

Chief Insp. Henry Cay-as was named head of the Cocpo’s City Investigation, Detection, and Management Branch from being commander of the Divisoria police.

The chief of the City Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF), Chief Insp. Victor Cacdac, is now the Divisoria police precinct commander.

Chief Insp. Alfredo Ortiz was named head of CAIDTF from being commander of the Carmen police precinct.

The new Carmen police chief is now Senior Insp. Jeopet Paglinawan who used to be chief of the Puerto police.

Senior Insp. Rixel Torayno, deputy chief of the Divisoria police, is now Puerto police precinct commander.

Senior Insp. Joel Nacua was assigned to head the Cogon police precinct. Before the new task, he served as deputy chief of the Tourism Police Unit (TPU).

Cogon police chief Senior Insp. Ludwig Charles Espera is now deputy chief of the TPU.

Agora police chief Senior Insp. Evan Viñas was also named as deputy chief of the City Patrol Unit while Senior Insp. Ernesto Niebito Daing was named commander of the Agora police from the City Public Safety Company (CPSC).

From the Cocpo’s operation branch, Senior Insp. Rollindena Vergara was assigned to the city police’s administation branch, replacing Senior Insp. Joram Jumalon who was named City Patrol Unit chief.

Mijares also named deputies: Insp. Jude Jano Evangesta, deputy chief of the Cugman police; Insp. Barnard Colegio, deputy chief of the Cogon police; Insp. Leo Huraño, deputy chief of the Agora police; Insp. Ramil Quirante Gighe, deputy chief of the Carmen police;

Insp. Dominador Orate, deputy chief of the Puerto police; Insp. Jose Duallo, deputy chief of the Lumbia police; Insp. Danilo Calurasan, deputy chief of the Divisoria police; Insp. Arthur Gaston; and Insp. Juan Casirayan, Bulua police; and Insp. Arabelle Delfin, City Public Safety Company.

Supt. Lemuel Gonda, chief of the Cocpo’s operations and plans branch, said the reshuffling was in preparation for the officials’ promotions.

“They were given new assignments so that they could get promoted,” Gonda said.
