Minda golf tourney slated on May 26 to 29

Sixteen golf clubs based in Mindanao are expected to gather in Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club here in Cagayan de Oro for the Mindanao Meet this coming May 26 to 29 at the said golf course.

The MindaGolf Captains’ and organizers of the said event yesterday held a general meeting and was held at Pueblo de Oro Golf Club to finalize the 1st tournament details which will be slated on May 26-29, 2016 at Pueblo de Oro.

The tournament is expected to draw in over 350 players from different parts of the Philippines to participate in this event, representing two categories, namely the Regular and the Seniors.

According to Pili Sison, Vice President of Frankie Miñoza Golf Foundation said the tournament’s main goal is to foster camaraderie among golf clubs in the region through team competitions and promote the sport among enthusiasts especially among the youth.

What makes this tournament even more exciting is the fact the venues of competition will be rotated amongst participating clubs in the region to promote local tourism and serve as catalyst for business opportunities in their respective city’s.

The first game will be played here in Cagayan de Oro on the said date and will move from one club to another across participating golf clubs in Mindanao. pr
