The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental has allocated a total of P3 million as financial support to selected elementary and secondary schools in the province for the National Schools Maintenance Week 2017 or commonly called Brigada Eskwela 2017.
Jerome G. Mundo, Secretary of the Provincial Local School Board (LSB), said the financial aid is part of the LSB’s fund to augment the Department of Education’s effort to prepare the schools before the opening of classes for School Year 2017-2018.

Per Department of Education (DepEd) Memorandum No.43, series of 2017, the DepEd will conduct the 2017 Brigaada Eskwela with the theme: “Isang DepEd, Isang Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan Para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan,” from May 15 to 20 bringing together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and resources to prepare public school facilities ready for the opening of the School Year in June.
