Gingoog City — Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano on Sunday declared he will support this city’s mayor and setting aside their families’ politican spat when he graced the culmination night of the week-long celebration of this city’s 57th Charter Day and the 38th Grand Kaliga Festival held at Gingoog Grandstand, here.

It was the first time the Guingonas invited Emano to the city’s grand event.

Mayor Marie Guingona was visibly happy and excitedly introduced Emano for his message before the jampacked crowd at the grandstand.

Emano returned the favor by promising his support to the Guingona administration in the city in his speech.

Former Board Member Jabi Bernaldez told Gold Star Daily that Emano’s declaration should put to rest all controversies and speculation on the long-standing conflict between the Emanos and Guingonas.

Amo na gihikling ang pamolitika ug magtinabanga alang sa kaayuhan sa tanan,” Emano said in his speech.
