EFFECTIVE tomorrow, the entire province of Misamis Oriental will be under “blue alert” in anticipation of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.
Capitol spokesman FloritoDugaduga said a blue alert means that they would carry out everything that they have planned for the two-day holiday.
Dugaduga said the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office would be deploying heavy equipment to the cemeteries in the province just in case of emergencies.
“Naa ni naka standby sa tanan sementeryo,” said Dugaduga.
For his part, PDRRMO chief Fernando Vincent Dy said they have instructed all municipal risk reduction officers of the province to be ready to implement their plans for the coming holidays and to monitor people who would flock to the cemeteries across the province.
Dy said the municipal risk reduction officers have also been instructed to coordinate with their respective police stations.
