Emano said the accreditation was formally issued late last week with evaluators from the DSWD Central Office personally visited his office and announced that the institution has actually passed the accreditation.

Naningkamot kita nga mag-operate kini aron usab maka-accommodate kita niadtong mga kabataan nga adunay gilambigitan nga kaso kinsa dili pa mahimong ma-priso tungod kay menor de edad pa,” Emano said.

Emano congratulated Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Emelia Andea for leading a team in organizing everything which resulted to the success on the application for accreditation.

Andea said the Capitol is allocating P1.2 million a year to fund the daily supplies of 12 children that they currently cater inside the institution.

Emano said the DSWD evaluators suggested levelling up of the children’s home Levels 2 and 3, “but when I asked Andea, we cannot do it as of the moment.”

Bisan tuod nag-ingon kanato ang mga evaluators nga gamay na lang kono ang kulang pwede na kita sa Level 2 ug Level 3. Apan regional man diay ang coverage sa Level 3,” Emano said.

Level 2, accordingly, is next to the mandatory compliance for accreditation which is increasing the quality of service implementation of the local government catering only the CICL within the boundaries of the province. The Bahay Pag-asa caters to children ages 12 to 15 years old. (pio misor)
