It was a difficult night for the judges of this year’s Miss Cagayan de Oro as 12 gorgeous ladies went all out to showcase their amazing and heartfelt performances to win the judges vote in last Saturday’s Talent Competition held at SM City.

The talent competition is one of the pocket events of Miss CDO 2019 and was judged by Lovellle See, Edgardo Rivero Palad, Love Joie Libago, Dr. Cherryleen Baguisa Ebanga, Rae Lynne Yparragurre, and was hosted by none other than the reigning Miss Cagayan de Oro 2018 Mary Chris Suico.

Candidates in their respective costumes one by one came on stage and shared their talents with the audience as their supporters’ cheers echoed throughout the mall. A variety of talents were presented during the show, some candidates sang, played instruments, danced, and some showcased their acting prowess while reciting a poem or advocacy that they strongly believed in; such as Environmental and women empowerment to name a few.

Meanwhile, on August 4 (Sunday) City Tourism Chairman Dorothy Pabayo said would be the official launching of this year’s city fiesta dubbed “Higalaay Festival” and would be launched at SM CDO Downtown Premier, inviting everyone to come and witness this grand occasion.

And on August 3 (Saturday) would be the pageant’s Swimwear competition and would be held at Limketkai Luxe Hotel at 4PM, it won’t be open to the public, but you can still catch it live on our social media page at Gold Star Daily News; and in August 17 would be the Evening Gown Competition at SM CDO Downtown Premier.

The results of the mentioned pocket events would be revealed during the Coronation Night at Limketkai Atrium on August 24 at 8 PM — where reigning Miss CDO 2018 Mary Chris Suico will be making her final walk as she turns over the coveted crown to this year’s Miss Cagayan de Oro 2019.

Miss Cagayan de Oro 2019 is an annual pageant and one of this city’s highlight of events in this year’s Higalaay Festival. Miss CDO is brought to us by Mags, JCI Bai Lawanen Inc. and the city government of Cagayan de Oro.
