Moreno said the fund set aside by Pimentel would be used in the beautification of the Divisoria area from Burgos St. up to the Xavier University area on Corrales St..

He said city hall plans to rebuild the historic Amphitheather situated between Burgos and Capistrano streets.

The amphitheater was demolished by city hall during the Jaraula administration for a bridge-like project. Underneath it now is the station of the Divisoria police and a center for public massage.

Moreno said he wants the restore the Amphitheater and turn the area into a landmark.

He said the fund would also be used to improve the park and lighting facilities in the area.

Meanwhile, the mayor said city hall is now studying the possibility of closing the entire stretch of Tirso Neri and RN Abejuela streets to vehicular traffic.

“Mo-cross lang ang mga sakyanan diha. Kanang north and south Divisoria, atong giplano nga walking street lang na siya. Pero ato pang patun-an pagmaayo,” Moreno said.
