MANY knew about the dismissal order. Many hoped history will not repeat itself, that the DILG regional office will not delay the serving of the order as it did before to give time for the issuance of another TRO or Temporary Restraining Order. Many believed that the Court of Appeals might no longer issue a TRO in lieu of the President’s remarks about “TROs for sale.” Many hoped that the rumor about CA’s hesitance to issue a TRO was true. Well, Oscar Moreno got what he wanted, again.

William Guialani was fuming mad, Nuñez was disappointed, and Moreno’s supporters were jubilant.

Guialani called up to say that he’s going to file a complaint with the Ombudsman against certain people at the DILG-Region 10 office. He expressed deep dismay over how TROs continue to be granted allegedly with monetary consideration.

In our Mellow Touch program with Roney Waniwan, I expressed hope that the DILG will not again delay the serving of the Ombudsman’s order and that the Court of Appeals will dispense justice in accordance with their conscience.

This DILG guy was irritated by Roney questioning over the apparent delay in serving the order.  The DILG guy cut the conversation without respect. If Guialani pursues his threat to file charges against DILG people, not a few support this act.

One of the justices has been reported to be a candidate for a seat in the Supreme Court. If this report reaches the President, would the President approve the recommendation? He is also said to be a good friend of the President.

Are there more dismissal orders to come? If so, how much more resources does Moreno have to sustain more TROs?

Guialani is seeking anybody’s assistance to bring the matter to the President. Somebody offered to approach Bong Go but Guialani doubts Go can help because Moreno played basketball with him.

Guialani laments the ease with which former LTFRB head Manny Darimbang was removed from his seat. Why not Moreno, Guialani asked. “Dili patas ang hustisiya,” he added.

By the way, how come the Church has been very loud and vocal against casinos but silent on corruption in the city government? Does the Church find corruption less evil than a casino? Or, is it because a brother is a Jesuit holding a high position in the Church?

Moreno may have gotten away this time but not all of the time. The big bang has yet to come.

Mr. Allan Guru of LTFRB has agreed to conduct a seminar for traffic volunteers on July 8, 2017 which LTO has consistently refrained from granting. But traffic is a concern that should involve many government offices like LTO, RTA, City Traffic Police, DPWH and Highway Patrol.

I hope to see all of them in one big meeting to discuss how we, Clean-10 and CDO-CRCD, can be of help and be guided in our volunteer service to the public.

As it is, nobody seems to care about the complaints being raised by concerned citizens. All complaints have fallen on deaf ears, sad to say.

To Mr. Guru, we appreciate your earnest and sincere intention to help. Let’s hope something positive will come out of the seminar.
