Sabuga-a said Moreno wants the task force to be reactivated to ensure that the vehicular accident that killed Department of Public Works and Highways Engr. Ifour Manduro will not happen again.

It can be recalled that Manduro’s driven pick-up rammed into a crane truck that has conked out in the middle of the highway along Barangay Gusa.

According to Sabuga-a, the mayor wants a more sustained work of the task force and for it to have a solution to traffic hazards along the highway.

Ang ato ana nga we offer a solution, naay mga bala-od nga dapat i-implement, then we have to implement,” Sabuga-a said.

He added that Moreno also wants the traffic enforcers of the city to have “enhanced capability.”

Sabuga-a said he has already ordered Road and Traffic Administration Assistant Department Head Engr. Nonito Oclarit to conduct a “Performance Management Review” to all of the city’s traffic enforcers.

Kay ang tuyo nato nia-a nga dili ang pag-pinpoint kinsa ang dunay sayop. Apan kon dunay problema unsay imong part alang sa pagsulbad sa maong problema,” Sabuga-a explained

In another development, Sabuga-a said Moreno has recently commissioned a Transportation Management Board which will be tasked to draft the traffic policy of the city.

Sabuga-a said they have finished drafting the creation of the board and they have submitted this to the City Legal Office for finality before Moreno will issue an executive order.

“Hopefully, kining atong Traffic Management Board ma-convene na gyud ni siya kay this is a very good forum para maka solicit sab ta sa mga new ideas, as far as traffic management is concerned,” Sabuga-a said.
