THE 18th City Council on its regular session this week has adopted a resolution respectfully urging City Mayor Oscar Moreno, through Acting City Administrator Teodoro Sabuga-a and Acting Personnel Office Mimsy Mayuman, to conduct an annual medical check-up of all employees of the city government of Cagayan de Oro.
This, after City Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya delivered his special report on the matter pointing out that the health conditions of public servants must be given importance.
“While we are delivering public services particularly on the health of our people providing them of the provision of free hospitalization and all in our City JRBGH and establishing hospital and mini hospital in Lumbia and constructing a mini hospital in barangay Tablon, it’s about time that we acknowledge that even the public servants should be given attention in terms of delivering health services,” Nacaya said.
Under the Charter of the Civil Service Commission, all public servants are entitled to avail of the annual medical check-up. (sp)
