An agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-10), whose identity has been withheld for law enforcement reasons, identified the suspect as Barangay Iponan councilor Redeem Dablio, 55, and a resident of Zone 3, Iponan, this city.

The agent said at least 11 sachets believed to be containing shabu were recovered inside the house where the said barangay official is staying.

But in an interview with Dablio, he denied he owned the drugs and instead accused the raiding team of planting the evidence.

The agent said it could be very impossible to plant evidences as they were with barangay officials of the said place, representatives from the Department of Justice, and media reporters during the house search.

It was learned that the suspected illegal drugs were all found inside a room located at the second floor of the said house.

Pag abot sa mga taga Pdea ila kong gipagawas ayha sila nag search. Mao na dayon tong nakakita daw sila’g mga shabu,” Dablio said.

The suspect said he will file counter charges against the raiding team.

The agent said before the raid was implemented there were months of surveillance against the suspect.

Dablio is now temporarily detained at Pdea mini-cell awaiting filing of appropriate charges.
